An IIT Roorkee alumni have come up with a brilliant travel-tech startup and have partnered with the Union Ministry of Tourism’s latest ‘Incredible India Campaign’. The all-new campaign offers a virtual experience by communicating to the users the various tourist destination in the most interactive manner.
OutsiteVR – Travel Tech Startup
IIT Roorkee alumni’s travel tech startup – OutsiteVR was founded in the year 2016 by two partners who are Mayur Karodia and Amit Singh. Both of them were the part of the Department of Architecture and Planning from 2010 to 2015 in IIT Roorkee. The speciality about this startup is that it helps in bringing all the innovation in our heads to Reality by using the most immersed and advanced technology applied in the Hospitality and travel industry.
The recent partnership of the travel-tech startup with Union Ministry of Tourism’s latest ‘Incredible India Campaign’ is in complete lines with AatmaNirbharBharat the vision of our Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. As per the AatmaNirbharBharat the vision, Narendra Modi along with his cabinet ministers have the idea to provide full support to the products which are manufactured in the home ground and promote more of Indian products.

The IIR Roorkee alumnus and the Co-founder and CEO Mr Amit Singh and Head of products Mr. Venkatesan Dhattareyan of OutsiteVR said the following things regarding this collaboration:

Uplifting International Tourism:
The travel-tech startup, OutsiteVR in the past has been awarded the ‘National Tourism Award 2019’ by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The startup received this award for its tremendous contribution to encouraging tourism internally by using innovative and creative solutions. Earlier the company had also won the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA) Innovation and Entrepreneurship Bootcamp in 2018. Moreover, the startup had also bagged the first price at Masterplan’18, which is the national business plan competition at IIM Ahmedabad. Both the founders have been a part of the TEDx community for long and have given many spectacular speeches.
